I will overwhelm 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to publicize next month's boxing match.

Ex twice world title holder Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I plan to break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will really want to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

Despite these statements, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK rival Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the novice remains one of boxing's greatest financial successes, regularly earning huge financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
